During a recent client conversation about outcomes and deliverables for organizational racial equity work, we generated quite a list of "change opportunities." Looking at our list, the CEO said:
"...you know, this is important work for our organization. And I also want that this work helps all of us be good and better humans out there - outside of these four walls. So whether here or out there, Bina, your work with us matters."
How refreshing, hearing a CEO considering the humanization of this work beyond reports, workshops, and operational changes.
Indeed, if this isn't a primary focus of our work in the racial equity, social justice, and DEI space, then what are we doing? Personal transformation is the foundation of this work, which means it permeates everything and every space we show up in.
